Group 1 and Sterling McCall Ford Provide Face Masks to Local Communities

This month marks one year since Texas witnessed its first case of the novel coronavirus. Since the start of the pandemic, the country has adjusted to its new normal of social distancing and wearing face masks in public spaces. As the light at the end of the tunnel appears, we at Group 1 Automotive and Ford Motor Company Fund are staying committed to encouraging local communities to continue to practice the safety protocols that have been in place since the beginning with Ford’s #FinishStrong effort.

Group 1 and Ford are aligned in an effort to support their communities during the pandemic. In early March, Group 1 dealership Sterling McCall Ford donated face masks to several elementary schools as part of the #FinishStrong campaign – an initiative launched to encourage community members to continue to protect themselves and those around them.

In addition to Ford’s efforts to encourage the continued use of face masks, Sterling McCall will be visiting two additional elementary schools, Fondren Elementary and Cunningham Elementary, to provide additional donations for the students and their nearby communities.

“We’re pleased to support Ford’s efforts in supporting our local communities and making it easier to protect one another,” said Earl Hesterberg, CEO, Group 1 Automotive. “Ultimately, we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of the communities where we work and live.”

“Ford Fund would like to thank our nonprofit partners and Ford dealers throughout the U.S. who have been instrumental in ensuring masks are getting to people and communities who need them most,” said Mary Culler, president, Ford Motor Company Fund.

Group 1, Sterling McCall Ford and other dealerships have always been committed to supporting communities and enriching local neighborhoods. We are proud of our efforts and will continue to play a vital role in our communities.
