Joined and supported by countless organizations throughout the community, Gene Messer Ford Lubbock sponsored the Toys For Tots drive this Year and held it on location.
The event was held Saturday, December 12, 2020. "It was exciting for Gene Messer Ford Lubbock to host our First Annual Toys for Tots Car Show! We had a full house and filled a Ford Transit Van with more than 9 full boxes," explained Gene Messer Ford Lubbock General Manager Dan DeLeon.
Toy donations were successfully gathered from around the Lubbock community. This year all participants practiced safe social distancing due to COVID-19 guidelines. Vehicles lined up and drove by dropping off their donations.
"Thank you to all of the car community. I am grateful to have this opportunity to know that this event will bring a lot of happiness to boys and girls," concluded Dan. Donations were collected at Dollar General Idalou and Salud Liquor and Gas, with Toys for Tots Lubbock supporting the event with the Marines. The Grinch, played by Bamas Back, made a special appearance along with Santa who spread Christmas cheer throughout the event.
