The ladies of the Audi El Paso, BMW-MINI of El Paso, Shamaley Ford, Shamaley Buick GMC, Subaru El Paso, and Porsche El Paso met for a ladies luncheon in celebration of March being International Women’s Month. The luncheon, hosted by Subaru General Manager Barbara Armendariz, Jennifer Cedillo (Marketing), Donah Harveston (Regional Finance and Insurance Director), and Christina Velasco (Human Resources) was in appreciation of the seventy one females employed by the six El Paso dealerships. In attendance, were women who had just started with Group 1 Automotive, to employees with over twenty years of tenure.

Recently, Group 1 launched the Women’s Initiative, started by Christine Scott, Senior Attorney at Group 1. The main goals of the Group 1 Women’s Initiative include employee recruitment and retention, creating networking and mentorship opportunities, and providing a diverse and inclusive platform to help make Group 1 Automotive more competitive in the automotive marketplace. The luncheon was inspired by Christine’s initiative, in the spirit of recognizing the value women add to both our organization and our community alike.

Thank you to all the women of Group 1 Automotive. We celebrate you this month and beyond!
