Sterling McCall Hyundai and Group 1 Automotive were honored to recognize Katie Wood-Sponsel as Spring Branch ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. Katie was presented a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe to use for the summer months, as well as a gift basket, gift card, flowers, balloons, and branded merchandise. Katie teaches 6th-8th grade social students and language arts in the Spring Branch Academic Institute. She focuses on creating an environment for her students that is engaging, transformative, and connected to a broad global context. Attending the surprise presentation were Pete DeLongchamps, David Fesmire, John Lukehart, James Thomas, and Mike Sullivan. We are proud to support this extraordinary teacher and to show our appreciation for all that she does.
