Principal of the Year Awards

Principal of the Year Awards
Principal of the Year Awards

Group 1 Automotive had the pleasure of being a part of the surprise with Spring Branch ISD to award Principal of the Year to David Rodriguez, Principal of Spring Branch Elementary, and Jennifer Collier, Principal of Spring Woods High School!

Principal of the Year is a great honor, especially since the winners are chosen by their principal peers!

Mr. Rodriguez has spent his 27-year education career in Spring Branch ISD and this is his third year as principal of Spring Branch Elementary School. When asked what he loves most about being a principal he said, “Our students are what I love most about our school! Every year I make sure to tell them that they are my favorite part of being a principal. I explain that it’s because I am amazed by their capacity to learn every day to do and be their best. They will grow up to change and lead the world. We just need to be sure to tap into that capacity daily, so they reach their potential. I love being a part of that!”

Ms. Collier is a 19-year veteran of Spring Branch ISD, and she has spent seven of those years at Spring Woods High School working to foster a culture that embodies the campus motto, All Means All. These amazing efforts garnered the school the incredible honor of being named a Special Olympics Unified Champion School, National Banner School and ESPN Top-5 School recognition. Ms. Collier says her inspiration to excel in her role comes from her students. “Their future is so bright, and the fact that I can play any part in their journey is what drives me to continue each day,” she noted. “To see our Tigers become successful and the best version of themselves is just an incredible honor.”

Please help us congratulate these two dedicated principals who are helping shape the lives and futures of our children!
